This one-of-a-kind Queens apartment is a vintage lover's dream come true. This first-floor unit features six distinct rooms, each with its own sense of character. Vintage wallpaper, antique light fixtures, and wood paneling adorn every corner of the apartment, which is located at the border of the Ridgewood and Glendale neighborhoods.

Three bay windows welcome the morning light into the living room, painted a soft baby blue. The vintage yellow floral couch is the room’s centerpiece, second to the Emerson piano. The living room opens into the dining area that includes a seven-seat round wood butcher-style table alongside an antique dark-wood hutch, the walls covered in found treasures and art.

An original “light well” connects the dining room to the pink-dream dressing room where the luscious pink Victorian-style couch sits. The kitchen features vintage yellow lotus flower wallpaper, original wood cabinetry and wall paneling, unique laminate countertops, and a porcelain sink. Best of all is the corded landline telephone, though it does not operate at this time.

Sunsets illuminate the kitchen during warmer months, which looks out to the private backyard. It features a deep blue patio besides yellow-and-red concrete checkered brickwork. Pink, purple, and red rose bushes blossom twice through the summer, growing alongside wildflowers and other greenery. Vintage-wrought iron patio furniture with rose detailing and two Adirondack chairs are the available seating options.

The space is richly textured and thoughtfully curated with love and intention. It’s ideal for projects seeking themes of nostalgia, femininity, fairytale, Americana, or artist-driven environments. It has been a labor of love to bring a new energy back into this space. The previous tenant moved into this apartment in 1955 and maintained its original features throughout the decades. In 2024, I moved in and have been pouring my heart into restoring, cleansing and reenergizing this space ever since. I’ve been collecting vintage and antique furniture and artwork for many years, so when I found this apartment, I was so excited to add to its magic.
